At BitPinas we strive to bring the best content to the audience so we can all stay up to date and well informed. As part of our mission to keep things local, we are running a year long photo competition to ensure we have real photos of the Philippines tech, FinTech and Business communities. Less stock photography and more real Filipinos interacting with cryptocurrency and emerging technology.
On December 31, 2020 the editorial team will select their 5 favourite image that have been submitted by the community with the top favourite (as determined by the editorial team) will receive PHP 10,000 worth of Bitcoin, and four runners up receiving PHP 1,500 worth of Bitcoin. You don’t need to be a professional photographer and you don’t need anything more than your phone and your creativity.
For your chance to be selected, think about the articles we right and how you can take images that will reflect the topics we cover some common topics include:
- Transactions, technology and platforms like crypto exchanges
- People using devices, transacting and buying things.
- Government departments of all types but especially the SEC and BSP
- Banks, money service providers and all other forms of financial companies
When submitting images to images@bitpinas.com please ensure you include the following:
- The name or social handle you want submitted. @twitter and @insta handles work well.
- The image is at least 144dpi(ppi) and 1700px by 890px. If unsure, download the template here.
- A name / description of the image
- A list of key words you think the image would be good for e.g. bitcoin, wallet, BSP, transaction, savings etc.
- Location where the image was taken (or you home town)
- Important must include the following copy:
“I own the rights and have acquired the necessary permissions to submit this image. I give permission to the owners of BitPinas to use my images for commercial purpose including use on the BitPinas.com website. Signed: {Insert your name}”

These images were all taken by the talented Keith David (Angeles City) who sadly passed away October 4, 2020 at the age of 23. His images were able to capture the people and the their story. We hope they will inspire you to do the same.
