Binance Joins US Trade Group to Help Form Crypto Regulations

  • Binance has joined the U.S. Chamber of Digital Commerce, a trade group representing the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry.
  • Binance will work with the Chamber to advocate for and educate about the benefits of blockchain technology and digital assets.
  • Binance will participate in research, roundtables, working groups, and discussions with policymakers and regulators.

Global cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced that it has joined the Chamber of Digital Commerce, a U.S. trade group representing the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry. As part of the Executive Committee, Binance will work closely with the Chamber and its members to advocate for and educate on the benefits of blockchain technology and digital assets.

Joanne Kubba, Binance’s Vice President of Public Affairs, said that collaborating with policymakers and regulatory bodies like the Chamber is crucial for the sustainable development of cryptocurrency and blockchain regulations that protect users. 

“As an organization at the crux of the industry’s rapid growth and complex regulatory environment, working hand in glove with policymakers, regulatory bodies, and industry groups like the Chamber is imperative to our mutual mission of fostering the sustainable development of sensible regulations for cryptocurrency and blockchain which ensures protections for users,” Kubba said.

“The Chamber has established itself as a leading voice in blockchain technology policy. We are looking forward to working with the Chamber and finding solutions together for the long term as we usher in Web3 and a new era of the global economy,” Kubba added.

  • Advocate and propose solutions to pressing issues in the industry.
  • Participate in research, working groups, and roundtable discussions with policymakers to aid in creating regulations.

Blain Rethmeier, the Chamber’s Vice President of Public Affairs, added that Binance has established itself as a leader in the blockchain ecosystem and will be a valuable addition to the Executive Committee.
