  • BlockchainSpace and Smart Communications have formed a partnership to connect communities and explore Web3 solutions.
  • The collaboration includes the launch of the Creator Circle program, which assists content creators in adopting web3 technology, fostering audience connections, and gradually introducing blockchain solutions.
  • In the beta phase, the program has already attracted over 150 creators with a combined following of over 20 million on social media platforms.

Aiming to unlock new opportunities and drive growth for all stakeholders, community-enablement platform BlockchainSpace (BSPC) and telecommunications provider Smart Communications recently forged a partnership on May 17, 2023.

During a press conference, BSPC confirmed that its creator platform, Creator Circle, is set to launch publicly in collaboration with Smart, enabling communities to connect while exploring web3-powered solutions.

In a statement, BSPC noted that through the collaboration with Smart, a “well-established network known for its influential partnerships with artists and their fan communities,” the platform is expected to fully leverage the potential of Creator Circle and build a strong lineup of creators.

“BlockchainSpace is thrilled to have Smart on board for the rollout of the Creator Circle in the Philippines as we eventually branch out the program in the Southeast Asia region. We’re very excited to share this with creators and brands to help them derive the best value with their respective communities, using Web3 technology,” Aspen Sañez, BSPC’s global head of marketing, said.

First introduced last April, the Creator Circle aimed at assisting content creators in adopting web3 technology and strengthening their connections with their audiences. This program will complement the existing Guild Partner Program (GPP), which concentrates on GameFi and was launched during the Philippine Web3 Festival week.

BlockchainSpace’s approach involves facilitating asset ownership in gaming, empowering communities through shared values, aligning creators with their audiences, and gradually introducing NFTs, DeFi, and other blockchain solutions to enhance creators’ experiences in a seamless manner.

Currently, though it is still in the beta phase, the Creator Circle program has already garnered significant interest, with over 150 creators signing up from various regions. These creators collectively possess a substantial following of over 20 million across different social media platforms.

Meanwhile, Dexter Chan, Assistant Vice President for Content Business Development at Smart, expressed his confidence in partnering with BlockchainSpace as they enter the Web3-enabled creator economy.

He highlighted BSPC’s expertise and experience in Web3 gaming and guild support, emphasizing their suitability as an ideal partner:

“With our concerted efforts, we are confident on translating things positively in the Creator Circle.”

Partnership Launch

Aside from Chan and  Sañez, the partnership was also headlined by Peter Ing, BSPC’s founder and CEO, and Lloyd Manaloto, Smart’s FVP and head of prepaid and content.

“Filipinos have been at the forefront of utilizing Web3 since the peak of the pandemic. With millions already owning crypto wallets and participating in GameFi, the Philippines has consistently been one of the leaders of Web3 adoption in Southeast Asia,” Ing stressed.

According to the CEO, the partnership will enable more communities to connect in a “truly open, meaningful and secure manner”.

Moreover, he characterized the partnership as a significant achievement for web3 adoption in the Philippines and beyond, emphasizing that the collaboration exemplifies the ongoing expansion of enterprise interest in actively participating in a future empowered by Web3 technology.

While for Manaloto, this partnership is in line with Smart’s mission to empower Filipinos by providing them with the latest digital innovations that enhance their lives.

“By leveraging the Philippines’ fastest and best mobile network, as recognized by Ookla, and the country’s widest 5G network, we believe that Smart is in the best position to unlock the value of Web3 in tandem with BlockchainSpace to benefit more Filipinos through accessibility and connectivity,” he noted.

Accordingly, they highlighted that the collaborative efforts of the two companies are focused on delivering captivating new programs and pioneering solutions. Through this partnership, they aim to empower communities to achieve sustainable growth and derive substantial benefits from the web3 technology.
