Web3 Gaming Platform Creta To Launch Beta Version in PH

The initiative was announced during an event in partnership with entertainment agency Tier One.

Creta, a web3 gaming platform, will launch its beta version in the Philippines, Chief Creative Officer Ray Nakazato announced. 

What’s the Significance: In an interview with BitPinas, Nakazato shared that they chose the Philippines to be the first country to experience the platform’s beta testing phase because they see the potential in the country’s gaming community. 

The Big Picture: 

• He also emphasized that the Philippines is an emerging market, thus Filipinos are open to new business models, including the entertainment industry. Their team believes that the country will soon be a top market in terms of gaming.
• Nakazato then compared the Philippines to China and Japan, which before were just emerging markets but now own the top markets in the gaming industry. 
• There is also no language barrier in the country, as Filipinos know how to speak English.

• 50 million are from the Philippines.
• The goal of Creta is to attract the 50 million Filipino gamers to their ecosystem.

• Developer: The development of Creta platform is led by Diverse, a Korean metaverse game developer specializing in game engines and graphics technology.

• Creta Multiverse: Creta offers a “super-sized multiverse,” where multiple metaverses can merge and expand with photo-realistic visual quality. 
• Creta Game Platform: A feature that can support a wide range of web2 and web3 games,  including games in the MMORPG, Battle Royale, and casual genres.
• Creta Studio: A feature where anyone can create high-quality games and content.
• Creta SuperClub: A decentralized, on-chain social media app users will fully own their data of their community. The rights to clubs and posts are minted as NFTs, allowing NFT owners, such as operators and members, to own, trade, sell, acquire, and merge.

What’s next: 

• All the games within the Creta Ecosystem will be free-to-play, the team told BitPinas. 
• Players can play without connecting an asset. But to withdraw their earnings and assets, they should create and connect a wallet. 
• The airdrop campaign of the platform seems to follow a play-to-airdrop system. 
• The team is targeting all the games to be of esports quality.  
• The latest installment of the game series, “Kingdom Under Fire,” called the “Kingdom Under Fire: The Rise,” will be launched on the Creta ecosystem.
