News Bit: PDAX to Discontinue Referral Rewards

Local exchange PDAX sends email to its customers regarding the discontinuation of its referral rewards program:

Beginning March 1, 2023, PDAX will be discontinuing our referral rewards program as we evaluate our existing offers to our users.

From all of us at PDAX, we thank you and your friends for participating in our referral rewards program.

PDAX has a refer-a-friend program wherein a user can earn rewards depending on the number of users who sign up using their referral code.

Last January, BitPinas reported that PDAX has reached a new milestone – achieving 800,000 users as of December 2022. It was also a banner year for PDAX, which started with an announcement that it has raised $50 million in a round led by Tiger Global. The money was to be used to improve the service and cater to the growing web3 market in the Philippines.

BitPinas has also learned that PDAX is the partner of mobile wallet GCash for its GCrypto offering, allowing GCash to offer crypto service in the absence of the virtual asset service provider (VASP) license, which PDAX has.

GCrypto has since launched to select users.
