Ragnarok: Monster World NFT Mint Sells Out, Raises $800,000

The inaugural mint of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for the Ragnarok: Monster World on the Ronin blockchain was sold out instantly.
What’s the significance: This is the first major web2 IP on Ronin. The successful mint could pave the way for other IPs to choose Ronin over other blockchains.
By the numbers: The mint generated $800,000 and attracted 9,600 unique owners.
- Zoom out: In April, it was announced that Ronin and Ragnarok: Monster World will launch the game in Q3 2024.
- Interesting insight: According to Nix Eniego, Growth Lead at Sky Mavis, majority of these mints are from the Philippines.

- Developed by ZERO X AND and published by Gravity, the game allows players to tame, collect, and train monsters called Ragmons, engaging in PvP battles to level up and earn rewards.
- Seokjun Kim, Founder of ZERO X AND highlighted the so-called “Ronin Effect” wherein a game that transfers to the Ronin gets an immediate boost in usership.
What’s next: The game will include PvE, GvG features, and campaign participation benefits.
