Home-grown mobile crypto wallet and exchange Coins.ph announced the availability of Basic Attention Token (BAT) on its application, a utility token meant to be used on the BAT platform.
How to Buy BAT TOKEN in Coins.ph?
1) Sign up with a Coins.ph account. (If you already have an account and are already ID and selfie-verified, proceed to step 3.)
2) Get ID and Selfie-verified.
3) On the Coins.ph app, select “Crypto” and select “BAT” from the drop-down menu to convert your PHP.
What is BAT
The BAT platform is a Blockchain-based digital advertising and services platform. It is built to integrate the Brave browser, a secure web browser that blocks ads and tracking by default, Brave’s ledger system, and related blockchain-attested functionalities.
BAT, as a utility token, will be used for conducting transactions and obtaining services on the platform. For instance, a user wants to acquire ad slots to be filled with privately matched, anonymously confirmed ads.
It is an ERC20 token that can be stored in ERC20 compatible wallets, and is also an SPL token, so it can also be used on the Solana network. So, it can be used on Ethereum-based platforms such as the Token app and Status app of Coinbase.
However, owning a BAT has no other advantages. The tokens also do not represent any ownership right, or any other right to receive future revenue shares, intellectual property rights, or any other form of participation in or relating to the BAT platform, Brave and its affiliates.
According to its development team, 200 million BATs were created after one Billion BATs were initially sold. They also created a user growth pool (UGP) of 300 million BAT.
At the time of writing, BAT’s value is ₱25.10 ($0.449729) with a market cap of ₱37,567,762,184 ($673,570,319), according to data from CoinGecko.
BAT’s all-time high was $1.90 last November 28, 2021 while its all-time low was $0.0723938056 last June 16, 2022.
The availability of BAT on Coins.ph offers the community to convert $BAT directly to PHP and vice versa.
