Coins.ph Launches First-Ever ‘Merry Mystery Cryptmas’
The campaign will run starting from September 22 and will feature Coins Santa Claus rewarding a thousand lucky users.

Digital wallet provider and crypto exchange platform Coins.ph launched its first-ever “Merry Mystery Cryptmas” campaign, to bring the Filipino culture of Christmas and crypto together as Filipinos celebrate this season by rewarding its users.
The campaign will run starting from September 22 and will end on October 5, 2022, and will feature a mystery theme where the Coins Santa Claus will reward a thousand lucky users with a secret cryptmas gift that will include different values of cryptocurrencies.
“By launching this campaign, we invite everyday Filipinos to celebrate Christmas with us, in a fun and unique tone. By bringing cryptocurrency and Christmas together, we want to inspire a deeper meaning to crypto — where we see crypto beyond being a digital payment or asset, but also a seasonal gift where we can share with our loved ones.” said Wei Zhou, Coins.ph Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
For Coins.ph users to be qualified for the “Merry Mystery Cryptmas” campaign, there are three steps they need to do:
- Follow @coinsph on Twitter and retweet the campaign announcement.
- Cash in a minimum of ₱100 to their Coins Wallet in a single transaction. Users can cash in through 7-Eleven, at their local banks via InstaPay, or from other mobile wallets, kiosks, and remittance centers.
- Complete the activity form to confirm participation in the campaign.
According to the e-wallet’s announcement, the campaign will be based on raffle mechanics and is only open to Coins users who have completed Level 2 verification by providing their ID and selfie.
The winners will be announced within two weeks after the event ends, and the winners will have the mystery gifts credited to their Coins Wallets at prevailing market rates as of September 22. Each user will be limited to only one gift.
In recent news, Coins.ph CEO Wei Zhou said has seen the potential of the Philippines to be the hub for play-to-earn and blockchain-related content creators and could lead the world in this genre.
He stated this at the AxieCon event held in Barcelona, Spain. Coins.ph has also added a new feature for mobile gamers to link their Google Play Store account to their Coins.ph to make transactions convenient for them. “The campaign is inspired from the traditional Christmas celebrations, such as secret gift exchanges. Keeping the nostalgic tradition with a fun twist, we celebrate our first, unique secret gift exchange with our users virtually. Just as the name suggests, we hope to bring a memorable, merry cryptmas for Filipinos,” Zhou concluded.
