October 7, 2019 – Last week, we reported about the Cash In and Cash Out Options of crypto exchanges and wallets in the Philippines. We found out that most of them allow a user to top up their crypto wallets via convenience stores and pawnshops.
However, it doesn’t mean you can top up (put money) to your crypto wallet with whatever amount you like. There are limits. These limits are based on the amount of personal information you shared with the crypto wallet company. More importantly, these limits comply with the rules set up by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and in compliance with Philippine laws. Coins.ph
Cash in limits based on account verification level:

How are Transaction Limits Tracked?
Your daily, monthly and annual transaction limits are tracked on a rolling basis. This means that your limits refresh according to the date you transact.
Your transaction limits will refresh on the following schedule:
Daily limit – refreshes 24 hours after making the specific transaction
Monthly limit – refreshes 30 days/720 hours after making the specific transaction
Annual limit – refreshes 365 days/8,760 hours after making the specific transaction
For example, you have 100,000 PHP monthly cash in limit. You cashed in 20,000 PHP last May 1 which would give you 80,000 PHP remaining limit.
Then you cashed in again last May 5 amounting to 15,000 PHP which would give you 65,000 PHP remaining limit.
On June 1, (30 days after your transaction) your monthly cash in limit will be 85,000 PHP because the 20,000 PHP you first cashed in has been refreshed.
Then on June 5, your limit will be back to 100,000 PHP.
Transactions that contribute to your cash in limits are:
- Cashing in to your Peso wallet
- Receiving payments to your peso wallet from another Coins.ph account
- Receiving payments to your peso wallet from an external bitcoin wallet
- Converting any cryptocurrency to Peso

When you cash out from Coins Pro to your Coins.ph wallet, this is also counted against your daily and monthly cash in limits in Coins.ph.
If you try to make a Cash Out that exceeds your Coins.ph cash in limits, this won’t be processed. Make sure that your cash out is within your remaining Coins.ph daily and monthly limits.
