Wen Airdrop? W-Coin Hints Launching Native Token as Game Reaches 16M  Players

In line with celebrating a milestone of attracting 16 million players, the developers of W-Coin, a Telegram-based clicker game, have expressed their interest in launching the game’s native token to be called $WCOIN.

About the Token Launch? 

The token launch was originally expected to happen in July 2024, Blockonomi reported.

• However, it was delayed due to technical issues because of the massive scale of the airdrop reward distribution. 
• Similar to another clicker game Hamster Kombat, about 60% of the total supply will also be distributed to players through the airdrop, while the remaining 40% will be allocated for development, growth, market liquidity, and other initiatives.
• The exact launch date of $WCOIN is still unconfirmed. 

Currently, players are still encouraged to vote on which blockchain the token will be minted, with options including Ethereum, Solana, and The Open Network (TON). 

• There is also a plan that the coin should first be listed on tier-1 exchanges, according to the developers.  
• Meanwhile, they also shared their plans to create new revenue streams, like mini-games, to prevent players from selling the upcoming token. 
• Lastly, grant programs for third-party developers, which will be denominated in fiat currency to prevent additional selling pressure on $WCOIN, are also in plans. 

New Features: One of the main attractions of W-Coin is that it has a staking protocol simulation, where players can stake their mined points and earn yields of up to 20%. Now, the developers have added new features that, for them, would make the game unique compared to other clicker games on Telegram. These are: 

• Tap, for players to buy to increase the number of coins they earn per tap. 
• Maximizer, for players to buy to increase their total energy limit. 
• Charger, for players to buy to gain faster energy charge.

W-orker, an auto-tap bot that players can buy so the bot will be the one to tap when they are offline.

What’s Next? On the roadmap shared by the W-Coin developers on X, this will be the planned consecutive events to be expected for the rest of 2024:

• Blockchain selection on where $WCOIN will be minted. 
• $WCOIN airdrop
• $WCOIN listing on tier-1 exchanged. 
• Launching of mini-apps.
