Founded in 2017, NEM Philippines aims to spread awareness of the NEM Blockchain and educate the public about blockchain and cryptocurrency in the Philippines. The team’s focus is to share how blockchain works, how it can make a positive impact on any industry and sectors in the country, and how people can learn and adopt the technology.
Its vision is to “To create a positive transformation to the world, especially to the lives of the community, by enabling interaction and trade in a more equitable and transparent way through the NEM platform.”
NEM Philippines’ partners in the Philippines include Appsolutely through LoyalCoin, C Estates, GameWorks, and Krypto Football. It is also partnered with CEZA, a government corporation.
NEM Philippines also designed blockchain courses and offered them to Philippine universities to spread awareness of blockchain, particularly that of NEM, on the academe and education sector. NEM Philippines believes that starting with the students and the academe could impact blockchain awareness and increased blockchain talent in the country in the long run.
