TZ APAC, one of the leading entities in the Tezos ecosystem, formed a partnership with Tezos India and Chainstack to organize the TezAsia Hackathon. Applications are now open for builders to create solutions in DeFi, NFTs and wallets while utilizing the Tezos blockchain.
The event registration will open on July 26th and will reward more than $14,000 in prizes and $50,000 in potential grants. The hackathon challenges participants to leverage the energy-efficient Tezos blockchain network in order to build solutions across these three (3) tracks:
- NFTs, Collectibles and Tools
The event will be held on Devfolio platform where the top five (5) projects will have the opportunity to receive grants of up to $10,000 each that will help them grow their projects to the next level.
Registration for the TezAsia Hackathon is now open to all at https://tezasia.devfolio.co/ and will close on 7th August 2021.
According to Katherine Ng, Head of Marketing and Operations at TZ APAC, Asia is full of talents that are yet to be discovered and that’s what the event is trying to reach out to. TezAsia, Ng said, will help them grow by leveraging the platform, network and resources that they already have to “create a synergistic effect that is win-win for both sides that might even create game-changing solutions.”
TezAsia aims for the event to become a place where young and future blockchain talent will be provided by training and mentorship programs to support their journey with upskilling and connecting them with leading industry experts. The event is encouraging novices, advanced coders, students, working professionals, and blockchain enthusiasts to apply and kickstart their blockchain journey through TezAsia and Tezos ecosystem.
Om Malviya, President of Tezos India stated, “Efficiency has always been a key priority of Tezos. Through TezAsia, we’re calling all participants to put their best foot forward to build transformative solutions that would address various sustainability challenges. Together, we can work towards building a greener future.”
