With the growing interest of Filipinos towards cryptocurrencies and blockchain gaming, this could open doors for international crypto-related companies to take interest in hiring Filipinos. Coinbase

Coinbase is an American company that serves as one of the major centralized exchanges and digital wallets in America. The company is serving more than 89 million accounts in more than 100 countries.

Coinbase has posted a position for a Country Director for the Philippines, which was a news item of BitPinas, last February 16, 2022. The role is to be the face of Coinbase Philippines in media coverages and representing the whole local organization in the Philippines during their Southeast Asian meetings.

Aside from a Country Director, based on Coinbase’s website and LinkedIn, they are looking for the following in the Philippines:

The company seems to be creating a team in the Philippines to cater to the Filipino and international clients of Coinbase.

Based on Coinbase’s LinkedIn, there are active Filipinos employed in the company, making Coinbase actively operational in the country.

Binance

Matrixport’s LinkedIn account is looking for a Country Manager as well. But so far, there are no Filipinos working for Matrixport based on their profile.

With global business and companies, like Binance, Coinbase, Crypto.com, Meta and Matrixport, interested to onboard Filipinos into their organization can be a sign that gradually the country is growing into the knowledge of cryptocurrency and the metaverse. With this job opportunities, Filipino employed in these companies will be exposed to the business side of the Web3. In the process educate and train themselves further into the rabbit hole.
