Axie Infinity Reaches 2 Million Players, Releases Oct Dev Updates

Earlier today, the developers of the popular play-to-earn game Axie Infinity, has unveiled the game updates for October as part of its monthly improvement reports. The new updates include progress details on the upcoming Battles V2, The Ronin Dex, and Land, as well as the overall growth of Axie Infinity.
Battles V2
According to the developers, the forthcoming new battle gameplay, Axie Infinity: Origin or the Battles V2, will be the gameโs โmassive battle upgrade that will make Axie faster, more fun, and easier for your friends and family to get started with!โ
Currently, Origin is set for an internal test. If Battle V2 passes this period, it will be released to a select group of veteran battlers for a test run.
For this month the team in charged of the new gameplay were primarily focused on balancing cards, improving art and animations, as well as making the user interface easier to understand.
โThis was a lot of polishing in preparation for getting it into the hands of real testers!โ the developers wrote.

Land
On the other hand, the gameplay for Land is currently โunder developmentโ, the developers admitted but it doesnโt mean there is none. The monthly progress of the Land team includes, latest upgrade to the art, an increase on the total size of land plots to allow for more functionality, rules and requirements around inventory management, different map and camera views, and tech trees and structures
In addition, they have included and further defined the bonuses and advantages of various land type. The developers also started research and experimentation around upgrading resource requirements.
Lunacia, also known as Land, is a feature in Axie Infinity that will allow players to build up a base by gathering resources and building structures and decorations. And would eventually let players fight for control of neutral territory and resources.

Ronin
Currently, Ronin Wallet, an Ethereum-link sidechain by the developers of Axie Infinity, Sky Mavis, has reached 5 billion in assets deposited and has more than 2 million downloads. And as of October 4, Ronin hit a new record of daily active addresses of 428,536.
Ronin Dex, on the other hand, is โgetting closerโ according to the update report. Although it already has a launch date, the developers canโt reveal it yet.
โWe will not disclose this yet in case we need to push it.โ the developers added.
Ronin Dex will allow Axie players and investors to trade SLP, AXS, wETH, on Ronin itself, letting them avoid the gas fees of going through other crypto wallets and exchanges.
As of now, players and investors can buy AXS and SLP on Ronin using card through Ramp Network
Growth Updates

Aside from having the number of active players of Axie Infinity breach the 2 million mark, the game is growing at a healthy and steady pace.
โWe believe that weโre currently in a relatively quiet period as we gear up for the launch of the Ronin Dex and Battles V2.โ the developerโs stated.
Currently, Axie remains the #1 application by monthly revenue and according to Amazonโs Alexa ranking, Axieinfinity.com is one of the top 500 most popular websites in the world.
As of today, following the launching of the staking program of Axie Infinity Shards (AXS) over 25% of the AXS in circulation are now staked.
Recently, Sky Mavis announced that it has successfully raised $152 million on the series B round, which is led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). The fund will be used to build its global team, scale its infrastructure and build a distribution platform for its blockchain games such as Axie Infinity.
