Coins.ph Launches Additional Cryptocurrencies – SAND, MATIC & USDT

SAND, MATIC, and USDT are now available in Coins.ph in the Philippines!

Coins.ph, the Philippines’ leading crypto and blockchain-based mobile wallet, announced the addition of cryptocurrency tokens SAND (The Sandbox), MATIC (Polygon) and USDT (Tether) now available to buy, sell, and store on their Coins.ph app.

Along with the recent addition of the tokens Axie Infinity Shards (AXS) and Smooth Love Potion (SLP) from play-to-earn game Axie Infinity last December 2021, this brings the total number of crypto assets available on the Coins.ph platform to 15.

SAND, MATIC and USDT are ERC-20 tokens which are crypto assets on the Ethereum blockchain.

SAND is a token utilized in The Sandbox, which is  a virtual environment running on the Ethereum blockchain. SAND is used to transact and interact in the ecosystem, which could be anything from creation of NFTs by users or paying for game experiences.

MATIC is the native token of the Polygon Network, a protocol to build and connect Ethereum-compatible networks. With MATIC, users are incentivized to drive development across the entire network. It is used to stake and pay for transaction fees.

USDT is a stablecoin pegged to the US Dollar. Stablecoins are so-named because it always keeps its value close or near to the pegged fiat currency, in this case the dollar. USDT tokens are issued by the Hong Kong-based company Tether Limited.

To begin buying, selling, and storing these tokens, users simply need to update their Coins.ph app to the latest version. The Coins.ph app is available in the Google Play Store and App Store. Customers must be Level 2 or ID and selfie verified to buy, sell, and hold these new tokens.
