Dogecoin Foundation is Back

The team behind Dogecoin, the king of meme coins which was founded in 2013 is now coming back to support core developers and projects which will benefit the whole meme-coin ecosystem. Further, Vitalik Buterin and Elon Musk are also onboarding as its new board members.

The team behind Dogecoin, the king of meme coins which was founded in 2013 is now coming back to support core developers and projects which will benefit the whole meme-coin ecosystem. Further, Vitalik Buterin and Elon Musk are also onboarding as its new board members.

The Dogecoin Foundation announced recently that the re-establishing process is done to support the whole community and to promote the future of blockchain as well, and according to the foundation’s website, the group will meet monthly to discuss issues relating to the Dogecoin projects.

They also have plans in protecting the Dogecoin logo which will be maintained by the foundation itself for the good of the community and according to the team, “The Foundation can continue to protect the Dogecoin Brand and allow the ability to use it for Dogecoin-related memes, projects and fun.”

Further, the team aims to secure a three-year budget which will be used to onboard new team members that can support its vision of creating a truly decentralized cryptocurrency and to work on Dogecoin full-time.

“We are developing a currency for the people, and we strive to do only good everyday.” said by the team.

The members will also include: Billy Markus, Dogecoin creator as its new community and memes adviser; Jared Birchall, Head of Elon Musk’s family office as its legal and financial adviser; Max Keller, a known developer as its technical adviser.

Dogecoin was created in 2013 by IBM software engineer Billy Markus and Adobe software engineer Jackson Palmer out of fun and wild speculation in cryptocurrencies at the time. However, monthly visitors of Dogecoin website reach more than a million in just 30 days.

Today, Dogecoin already has support from popular entrepreneurs like Elon Musk and Mark Cuban and currently have more than a $30 billion market capitalization as of this writing.

Dogecoin Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 2014 which aims to support Dogecoin cryptocurrency projects and to protect its trademark and its community.
