An Axie Conference (AxieCon) Watch Party hosted by homegrown mobile wallet Coins.ph was held at Draper Starter House Manila on September 10, 2022. Axie enthusiasts in Makati watched the live stream of the Finals Match of the Axie Infinity Tournament, both Classic (V2) and Origins (V3), held in Barcelona, Spain.

The event started at around 7:30 PM. The Coins.ph hostesses lead the event with some icebreakers before going into the program proper. They drew some names from the fish bowl and five of the lucky attendees received SLP plushes just to encourage the attendees to enjoy their stay at the event.

One of them is Emmanuel Garcia, an architect by profession and an Axie Guild Manager, who, later on, also won a Trezor hardware wallet from Coins.ph.
Meanwhile, Coins.ph Marketing Director Eprom Galang and Axie Infinity Philippines Lead Nix Eniego were called up front to share what was in store for the night’s event.

Then, the live stream shoutcast masters, Archer and Inviictum, were called to introduce themselves and stationed themselves on stage and awaited the live broadcast of the final battle for Axie Infinity Classic.

As the game began, even with a slight technical issue with the projector which forced the shout casters to use the laptop as their guide and for the audience to see, the Axie fans and enthusiasts roared with joy when a critical hit occurred during the battle and those clutch games where some of the Axies were left with a few health points and hanging for dear life.

As the first session ended, the hostesses went back on stage to rally the crowd and asked for five volunteers to be part of the game, where ten questions are given and the fastest and most accurate answer wins a point.

Afterward, another set of audience members won a Trezor hardware wallet each, and one of them was one of the prominent Axie streamers on Facebook, Extra Rai, who just came in with other streamers when his real name was called. There was one last raffle drawn for an Axie Summer giveaway, but unfortunately, the author was not available at the site when it happened.

Moreover, the second session started around 11:00 p.m., the live broadcast started with the semi-finals where Spam won the match.
Moments after, the Finals for Axie Infinity Origin came where 1437 of MT8 won the match against Spam with a 3-2 victory.

The event ended at around 1:00 AM and Nix gave an alpha of the coming part two of the event. There will be a pre-registration for those who want to participate in the Axie Infinity Origin tournament, which may happen this September 17. (Note: BitPinas also attended this event and will share an article soon.)This is with regard to the start of Season 1 of Axie Infinity Origins. As of Nix’s tweet, the tickets are all sold out!
