GM. Yesterday, the BitPinas team went to Ayala Malls Trinoma in Quezon City (for our international subscribers, that’s somewhere in Manila), for the final leg of YGG’s Roadtrip.
The road show went to different locations in the Philippines and while we were only able to go to two of them, one the things that I like there is just how much different is the audience of this specific web3 event. Think cosplayers, students, even families.
We noticed that too in the Baguio leg, where we heard of people traveling from nearby provinces and even way back from Manila, just to be with and in support of their friends or of YGG. (More of this in my reflection on Twitter here.)
I also think the YGG road show is becoming a blueprint for other organizations to follow, if they are not doing that already.
- And conversely, for local communities to establish themselves as THE community to partner within a specific city, province, or region.
- Soon, we might see specialized organizations catering to particular regions or central coordinators appointing community leaders in key areas.
- Companies may even start forming region-specific sub-groups.
YGG, in 2020 and 2021, was probably the first who started this idea of identifying regional key leaders and communities (that sprung up from the Axie guilds formed at that time) and, instead of just letting them stay where they are, also elevate them to national (and even international) attention. Organizations and companies should start studying it.
It’s commendable, yet I’m not sure if they are receiving enough credit locally for making that blueprint. However, I also believe they are not focused on seeking recognition for that either.

- Bitcoin is up 3.5% vs the previous seven days, now at $61,493.
- The weekly top gainer in the top 100 coins is VET ($0.0318), up 48%.
- The weekly top loser in the top 300 is TURBO ($0.0036), down 9.6%
- Noteworthy: XRP ($0.5263) is up 29% vs the past week.

Feature Story: Trump’s Election Odds Soar to 70% on Polymarket Following Rally Shooting
Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s chances of winning the presidency jumped to 70% on crypto speculation platform Polymarket after he was injured at a rally in Pennsylvania.
What’s the significance? This incident has increased Trump’s perceived resilience and support, influencing both political betting markets and voter sentiment. [Read our earlier article on the topic.]
The numbers:
- Polymarket’s “Yes” shares for Trump winning the presidency rose to 70 cents, Coindesk noted.
- Trump-themed tokens like MAGA surged by 34%, and TREMP rose by 67%.
Political prediction markets and crypto-based tokens are becoming significant indicators of public sentiment and campaign dynamics.
What is Polymarket? Polymarket is a decentralized prediction market platform where users can bet on the outcomes of real-world events using cryptocurrency. The platform uses smart contracts on the Polygon blockchain and settles bets in USDC, a stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar.
What’s next: Trump is scheduled to speak at a bitcoin conference in Nashville, potentially boosting his support among crypto enthusiasts.
