List of Banks That Extend Grace Period for Loan Payments Due to Coronavirus Outbreak

March 19, 2020 – Under the Enhanced Community Quarantine and the declaration of a state of public health emergency in the Philippines, all businesses are required to look for ways to mitigate the risks of the virus outbreak to their personnel and customers. In line with this, banks have extended the grace period for loan and credit card payments. A number of them have blanket announcements (all customers will enjoy the grace period) while some will limit it to qualified customers.

AUB

In response to the Enhanced Community Quarantine program, AUB is implementing a 30 day grace period for Loan Clients for Housing, Motor Vehicle, Personal, Salary and Seafarers Loans. Credit cardholders will likewise have the same privilege.

Loan Clients who did not or will not pay the current dues will automatically be considered as taking up this offer. However, those that did or continue to pay can avail of this offer anytime during the whole duration of their loan. Clients with multiple loans will likewise have a 30 day grace period for every loan.

For credit cardholders, a 30 day grace period will also be in place and like the loan borrower, can be availed of in the next 12 months (Ends March 31, 2021).

BDO

BDO will provide a 60-day payment extension for qualified credit card, auto, home, SME, and personal loan customers with due dates up to April 15, 2020.

BPI

BPI will extend a 30-day grace period for qualified credit card, personal, home, auto, and SEME loan clients.

ChinaBank

ChinaBank is giving a 30-day payment extension for their consumer loan customers in good credit standing. Auto and housing loan amortizations due from March 15 – April 15, 2020 may be settled on the original due date or after 30 days without late fee or penalty.

CIMB Bank

CIMB Bank will be extending payment due dates for their personal loan borrowers. Those with outstanding balances with repayment schedules on April 1, 2020 will have their due dates moved to May 1, 2020 with no late fees or additional interest added to the due payment.

Eastwest Bank

Payment due dates for auto, personal, mortgage and EEL loans, and credit cards shall be extended by 30 days for eligible customers. Eastwest Bank will send email or text message to customers qualified under this payment extension program.

Land Bank

LANDBANK is granting a 60-day extension for Salary Loan and Credit Card payments with due dates of up to April 15, 2020.

Metrobank

A 30-day grace period program will be extended to qualified car loan, home loan, and credit card payments. Those qualified will notified by the bank via email.

PNB

“We are one with our kababayans during this difficult time. PNB will be implementing a 30-day payment extension for all qualified credit card customers with due dates from March 18 to April 15, 2020. We will also be waiving all transaction fees for InstaPay and PesoNet until April 15, 2020. We encourage you to stay safe by staying home. Rest assured that PNB, our branches, and digital channels are here to serve”

PSBANK

A 30-day grace perios on loan payments will be extended to qualified Auto, Home, and Personal Loan clients. Qualified borrowers will be notified via email of the details.

RBank

RBank will provide a grace period for housing loan, auto loan, personal loan, motorocycle loan, and credit card due from March 16 – April 15, 2020.

RCBC

Cardholders in good standing and with due dates from March 15 – April 15, 2020 can skip their due dates and make a payment 30 days after. Cardholders can also choose to pay their dues through their online channels.

Security Bank

Security Bank is extending payment due dates by 30 days for credit cards and loans (home loan, personal loan, auto loan, business mortgage loan, business express loan) whose:

• Payment status is current (with no past due balance) as of March 16, 2020.
• Payment due date is between March 16 to April 14, 2020.

Sterling Bank

Sterling Bank of Asia is giving a 30-day payment extension to Auto, home, Personal, and Salary Loan customers in good standing with due dates until April 14, 2020.

UCPB

LoanEasy Payments are extended for another 30 days.

UnionBank

UnionBank is giving qualified customers the ability to delay UnionBank credit card payments for 30 days from the original due date, with no late fee. Qualified customers are those in good standings and with due dates from March 17 – April 15, 2020.
