Key Details: After knowing the amount of airdrop rewards they would receive, players expressed their disappointment after an alleged unfair $CATI allocation.ย

  • Crypto with Khan posted on his X account that even though he reached the Royal League, with the highest level of his cat reaching 325, only got 39.32 $CATI.

  • Another player named Jimmy McGill also shared that at level 31 only, he received 91.39 $CATI.
  • On the other hand, Kashif Rajpoot, also provided a September 15 screenshot of him earning 27.42 $CATI despite being an active player for only four days.
  • In a private Facebook group called โ€œPinoy Crypto Community,โ€ an anonymous member, who shared that he only played for three months, the highest level of cat is 37, no referrals, and is not a Telegram premium user, posted that they only got 5.12 $CATI.

Players are asking for transparency on what criteria Catizen followed in distributing airdrop rewards.

  • It is because some high-level players received only a small amount of rewards.ย
  • While some low-level players received almost equal or higher rewards than the high-level players.ย
  • Meanwhile, those who played longer also received a small amount of rewards.ย
  • While those who played shorter received almost equal or higher rewards than the high-level players.ย

The Big Picture: Before Catizen distributed the airdrop rewards, the game said that they had detected players using bots to farm points so they would adjust the criteria.

  • Since the confirmation of $CATI airdrop, โ€Œplayers have already been informed that a big portion of rewards will be based on farming points.ย

โ€œDuring the data review for this CATI airdrop, we discovered that numerous bot accounts exploited this public rule by using scripts to boost their vKitty profit speed, attempting to gain a disproportionate amount of CATI tokens. In this situation, following the original airdrop criterion would significantly undermine the benefits of genuine players and community supporters!โ€

However, the players also found out that out of the 34% allocated total supply of $CATI for airdrop, only below 15% of the total supply will be distributed for this campaignโ€™s airdrop to players.

  • This means that the remaining token supply will be distributed to the next eight seasons of play-to-earn campaigns, which will happen quarterly.ย
  • According to some players, this allocation was not revealed to them and is unfair for earning a small amount of rewards for long-time farming.
    • But it should be noted that the 15% allocation is written on $CATIโ€™s tokenomics.ย

โ€œThey first said 43% of the supply would be airdropped to farmers but later changed it to 16%. The airdrop allocation they gave us is small compared to what we were expecting. I will leverage the rewarding events launched by some crypto exchanges like Bitget to earn more CATI.โ€

Damien Dotou, X User and Player, Catizen

By the numbers: $CATIโ€™s Tokenomics

  • Total Supply: 1 billion tokens
  • For Airdrop and Ecosystem Support: 34%
  • For Binance Launchpool: 9%
  • For Liquidity: 5%ย
  • For Treasury: 15%
  • For Team: 20%
  • For Investors: 10%ย
  • For Advisors: 7%ย

Whatโ€™s Next: $CATIโ€™s official listing will be on September 20, 2024, this will allow players to withdraw their airdrop rewards on crypto exchanges.

  • However, in the pre-market, 1 $CATIโ€™s price is listed below a U.S. dollar.ย

Question: If the tokenโ€™s actual price on launch will follow the pre-market fiat value, are $CATI rewards worth it?
