Two Filipinos, one student and one professional developer, are among the winners of the recently concluded Weavers’ Permahacks 2024 of the Arweave ecosystem.
What’s the Significance: The victory shows that Filipinos are not just consumer of web3 projects but can also be builders that can solve real world problems using blockchain technology.
Key Details: PermaHacks 2024 is the second edition of Weavers annual PermaHacks Hackathon Series that happened online from October 23 to November 6, 2024, with $22,000 worth of prizes.

Adrian Jay Calvario
- About the Dev: He is a 20 year old third year Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing at College of San Jose Del Monte Bulacan.
- Hackathon Task: Create an atomic asset collection with a custom lore or world.
- Project Title: Crown of Lies
- It is a physical 10 player card game.
- According to Calvario, Crown of Lies can be played on workshops and any group gathering that wants to experience a mix of social deduction and mystery game.

Ethan Ronoel Salazar
- About the Dev: He is a professional software developer with over 10 years of experience.
- He is among the software developers at WeaveDB, a decentralized database system that uses the Arweave network as its underlying storage layer
- He also joined multiple hackathons, including those organized by ETHGlobal and Polygon.
- Hackathon Task: Build a decentralized Linktree using ArNS and Turbo.
- Project Title: Everlink
- It is a decentralized professional social networking app that offers personalized profiles, link shading, and a free custom domain.
- According to Salazar, he will continue developing the project and will aim to integrate it to other projects he is building for an upcoming hackation in Arweve Fullstack Hack.
