About the team:

Manage a business with meaningful, superior, highly scalable and delightful investment experiences for novice and experienced investors, and wealth and asset management capabilities for various investment instruments.

You’ll join a nimble, diverse, and fast-moving product team that works cross-functionally with product, design, engineering and marketing teams to build, scale, and maintain the investment marketplace and platforms for PayMaya’s growing fintech ecosystem.

In this Role, you’ll:

  • Identify market opportunities, understand customer needs, and build partnerships that develops into innovative products that provide meaningfully superior investment experiences and wealth and asset management capabilities for novice and experienced investors both internally and externally.
  • Keep abreast of competitor’s new product offerings or service developments. Assess the threat to our business and create a plan of action to maintain a competitive edge for products.
  • Ensure overall alignment of short-term priorities and actions with long-term portfolio plans to translate vision into reality. Create and manage product roadmaps, prioritization, and constraints to ensure consistent execution of the product lifecycle process from concept to launch.
  • Lead and collaborate with highly dynamic product team to develop financial products translating business strategies into products that delight customers and position PayMaya for substantial growth in the future.
  • Develop, nurture, and collaborate with internal & external partners and key stakeholders: clearly communicate the business/product strategy, requirements and customer value, articulate customer pains and gains, write business user requirements documents(BRDs), ensure commercialization project timelines are aligned and follow up accordingly with program management teams towards successful launch. Analyze business metrics and own key business P& L numbers in business case with Commercial finance and partner management.
  • Define & agree on business success criteria and KPIs with stakeholders, provide senior management with regular updates and manage communications of business & product development across the organization.

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • 4-8 years of Business Development Management experience and demonstrated success in digital financial start-ups, financial services companies, wealth and asset management, or leading tech companies.
  • Have a good understanding and experience on wealth and asset management products such as mutual funds, equities, Commodities in the Philippines, and US landscape. Other relevant markets a plus
  • An entrepreneurial problem solver who demonstrates a high level of critical and creative thinking, is innovative, and capable of leveraging data and past experiences to drive balanced and sustainable best practice
  • Passionate about payments, financial solutions, and digital lifestyle use cases specific to investment; able to discern what is a world-class product and constantly keeps abreast based on market and competitive moments and sharing that internally with teams
  • Has a self-starter attitude, uncanny attention to detail and clarity, ownership of deliverables end to end with timely follow through diligently and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable in presentations, coming up with slides in a timely manner and going deep into critical regulatory and business/product/marketing discussions with internal stakeholders towards successful delivery of joint metrics.
  • Comfortable with business agreements and complex clause details, negotiations with partners about commercials, ideating and researching on industry pricing/best practices and working with legal, compliance, finance to close agreements in a timely manner.
