We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Discord Community Manager and Lead Moderator. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our Discord community, developing its culture, maintaining security measures, and overseeing a team of moderators.
You will play a critical role in shaping the community’s values and ensuring it aligns with the company mission, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment, and promoting positive engagement among members.
Requirements
- Proven experience in community management on Discord
- Strong knowledge of Discord features, moderation tools, security, and community management best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and interact with community members in a professional and friendly manner.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing and motivating a team.
- In-depth understanding of online community dynamics, social media trends, and user behavior.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Knowledge of security measures and strategies to ensure community safety.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs.
- Fluent in English
- Up to date with all latest Discord updates and announcements
Responsibilities
- Discord Community Management:
- Develop and implement strategies to cultivate a vibrant and inclusive culture within our Discord community.
- Foster meaningful interactions, discussions, and collaborations among community members.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the community experience and drive member engagement.
- Act as a role model for community behavior and encourage others to uphold community standards.
- Security and Moderation:
- Establish and enforce security measures to protect the community from malicious activities, spam, and harassment.
- Monitor community channels regularly, promptly addressing violations of community guidelines, terms of service, and applicable laws.
- Collaborate with the moderation team to maintain a proactive approach to security, ensuring a safe environment for all members.
- Stay updated on emerging security threats and implement necessary measures to safeguard the community.
- Lead Moderator Duties:
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of moderators to assist in community management and security.
- Provide guidance and support to moderators, ensuring consistent enforcement of community guidelines and security protocols.
- Set expectations, establish workflows, and maintain open lines of communication with moderators.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to moderators.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex or sensitive community issues.

Working conditions
