Responsibilities
- Preparation of general ledger account reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of source data
- Preparation of journal entries into Xero.
- Assist the Head of Finance and Senior Accountant in preparation of financial statements and other internal reporting on a monthly basis
- Preparation of treasury cash flow reports.
- Preparation of payments to suppliers and vendors.
- Learn and apply relevant international accounting rules for foreign business units
- Obtain and analyze data from multiple sources to consolidate, develop into schedules that will be used as support documents for the month-end close process
- Documenting internal controls and processes for accurate and timely financial reporting
- Collaborating with various other departments when needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ideally 3+ years of experience or currently working as an Accountant in startup/fintech
- Knowledge of fintech payments, use of crypto ledgers and cryptocurrency required
- Entrepreneurial, consultative mindset.
- Self-directed, can manage complex projects.
- Process-oriented; able to create policies and mentor implementation.
