ASTN Group, Inc. <astn-group.com> is a startup tech company, based in Philippines and TX, USA, that is working to push what is possible with modern artificial intelligence systems by providing new ways of information discovery and analysis. We are currently in the phase of developing the prototype of our core AI system, Valmiz. 

Overview 

We are looking to hire a Marketing Director who will oversee leading our company’s marketing efforts.

As a successful hire, you will be responsible for providing guidance to our CTO and COO by evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning, and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, and building awareness and positioning for our company’s brand. You will also be working closely with our CTO and COO to develop a pricing strategy that will help us maximize profits and market share. Finally, you will oversee organizing company conferences, trade shows, and major events. 

As a startup, ASTN Group, Inc. is looking for a highly skilled marketing director to help us promote our software product Valmiz and identify what we can do to be presented different and uniquely better than our competi tors, while understanding what consumers want so we can create more to meet their needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive marketing experi ence and comprehensive knowledge of branding. This person must be able to lead a team of writers, designers, and account managers and interact with clients on a regular basis. The role also requires a deep understanding of what makes a startup successful and is a person ready/willing to be part of a company that will succeed and be leaders in AI into the future. 

Location and Working Hours 

The position will be based in Metro Manila, Philippines with a full work from home arrangement. Light travel may be required when meeting the CTO, who is also based in PH. Working hours are flexible, with the position itself focused on the output than time rendered. 

Job Description 

  • Create short term marketing plan and implement startup (ASTN Group, Inc.) into production and delivery of Valmiz. 
  • Create brand awareness in Southeast Asia, for both the brand (Valmiz) and potential investors. 
  • Develop marketing plan for the AI Asia Expo in end of May in Manila. • Oversee, organize, and attend the AI Asia Expo in end of May. 

Responsibilities 

  • Create and oversee the marketing department. 
  • Evaluate and develop our marketing strategy and marketing plan. • Plan, direct, and coordinate marketing efforts. 
  • Research demand for our products and services. 
  • Do competitor research. 
  • Identify potential customers. 
  • Develop promotions with advertising managers. 
  • Understand and develop budgets and finance, including expenditures, research and development appropriations, return-on-investment, and profit-loss projections. 
  • Compile lists describing our offerings. 
  • Develop and managing advertising campaigns. 
  • Build brand awareness and positioning. 
  • Support sales and lead generation efforts. 
  • Coordinate marketing projects from start to finish. 
  • Oversee social media marketing strategy and content marketing. 
  • Lead the development of marketing strategy by working closely with clients, managers, creatives, content providers, and distribution partners to create effective plans focused on growing the audience for our products and services 
  • Spearhead the execution of marketing campaigns, including test and control group segmentation, testing, tracking, results reporting, analyses, and recommendations. 
  • Manage conception, development, and implementation of marketing plans and strategy, product concepts, and promotional programs to drive customer interest and sales. 
  • Conduct meetings regularly to review pipeline, resolve challenges, and brainstorm possible solutions, and provide training to ensure team is consistently performing above standard. 
  • Attend conventions, conferences, and trade shows, preparing engaging displays and collateral as needed, and provide post-event reports and analysis. 

Required Skills and Qualifications 

  • Successful track record in a marketing role and campaign creation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. 
  • Experience in digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing. 
  • Proven ability to plan and manage budgets.

Preferred skills and qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, advertising, or communications. 
  • Proficiency with modern information systems. 
  • Established roster of media and PR contacts. 
  • Desire to grow professionally with a software company.
