Mythical Games — a team of veteran game developers — introduced Blankos Block Party, a free-to-play open-world multiplayer game just like Roblox and MineCraft which received $120 million funding from notable investors.

The game lets players have freedom to create their own world and characters which other players can use while playing Blankos Block Party.

What is Blankos Block Party?

Blankos Block Party is built on the  EOSIO blockchain. Characters created by players are non-fungible tokens (NFT) that are 100 percent owned by them.

The team behind Blankos Block Party believes that an ecosystem where players can buy and sell their assets across a network of marketplaces will create a successful digital asset economy. That is the reason why they want players to be able to hold game assets in their wallets using their own private keys.

Early Access to Blankos Block Party

According to Blankos Co-Founders John Linden and Rudy Koch, Blankos Block Party is more of a side hustle for Mythical Games; what they are really building or selling is an ecosystem of NFT-driven gameplay and development.

The Early Access Soft Launch was released last June 14, 2021 after they dropped a limited-edition NFT on their website marketplace.

Moola is the game’s soft currency. You can earn Moola by doing things like completing challenges and Gigs or playing in Block Parties. Moola is the currency you earn just by playing the game which can be used in buying items like Accessories, Build Items, and Emotes.

How to Play-to-earn in Blankos Block Party?

Since all Blankos Block Party characters are minted as non-fungible tokens, players can buy and sell Blankos characters in the marketplace. As the game continues to evolve and as its community grows, the number of Blankos characters would surge.

Aside from that, Blankos Block Party introduces “party pass”, one of the play-to-earn mechanic features of the game which allows players to have the opportunity to earn Blankos Bucks, the hard currency of the game and other Blankos NFTs.

Through party passes, players have access to daily, weekly and seasonal challenges of the game. Each quest inside the pass earns players “hype points” which is required to unlock the rewards.

Blankos Block Party Game Modes

Build Mode

Blankos Block Party is a game where players can play the world created by another player, especially if they know how to use the public tools or software development kits provided by the Blankos devs team itself.

No coding experience is required in order to build your own world. You can design the world in your own feelings and expressions.

Take a look at the image below to check the Blankos Build Mode.

Whenever you enter the Build Mode, you will be spawned into an empty world where you can design freely.

Build mode limits the items you can put by using block budgets, which then limits how big your block can be.

You can use props to decorate the world. As the game grows, the total number of props will also grow.

The creator of the racing world will determine the route which will be followed by the players by running through different checkpoints.

Platforming

Platforming is an element which is incorporated into the other game modes such as racing or vibe collect. It allows players to avoid obstacles and they can use timed jumping and skill to get from one platform to the next.

Trials

Gumballs

Gumballs are additions to Blankos characters and accessories first introduced last June 2021.

It is a consumable item and its main utility in the game is for character upgrades like changing colors for Blankos MashUps.

Gumballs can also be bought using Blanko Bucks or Moola, or earned through special accomplishments such as progressing the Party Pass.

Hidden Gumball Rewards

Blankos development team provides each player an opportunity to earn Gumballs for free by completing all of the weekly challenges.

Players can also earn Hidden Gumball Rewards from Season’s Party Pass Rewards and these are determined when the player earns the reward and appear at a rate of 1:N where N is the number of Gumballs inside of the pool.

Blankos Mashups

MashUP is a building on Blankos where players can change their Blankos character’s color. We can also state that this is the designer room of the game where passion meets fashion. However, any changes done with your characters will not be able to revert even by the Mythical Games customer support so better be certain to your character design before applying any changes to it. Further, even though MashUP is irreversible, the good news is you can preview the outcome before you commit the change.

MashUP is composed of Mashing and Mixing where Mashing is the process of sampling the bits and pieces from one Blanko and splicing those characteristics into another Blanko to create a new, custom Blanko.

Take note that the only change to the new Blanko will be the color palette, and you won’t lose the other Blanko. However, Mixing is customizing a single Blanko using Gumballs.

Blankos is getting more traction as more and more players are now having fun playing the game since its graphics are way more engaging than Roblox and MineCraft.

If you want to play Blankos also, you’d better reach out to the community for tips, advice and character inspiration if you don’t like the design of your current Blanko.
