Binance Unveils Futures Trading

It will first support BTC/USDT Futures before rolling out to more pairs in the future.

July 3, 2019 – Binance has announced futures trading to its cryptocurrency exchange.

Binance founder and CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao announced futures trading on the platform during his presentation at the Asia Blockchain Summit this Tuesday in Taipei. Mr. Zhao presented the interface as well as “actual” screenshots of the working system. Mr. Zhao did not say exactly when it will launch but said it will be “very soon”. It will allow 20x leverage.

It will first support BTC/USDT Futures before rolling out to more pairs in the future.

The last major feature implemented in Binance was “margin trading” which was added last month. By July 11, 2019, this feature will roll out to all users.

Also revealed last month is the opening of Binance’s US crypto exchange called BAM Trading Services*. Today, it was announced that a former Ripple exec will join Binance US as its CEO. Catherine Coley, previously the head of XRP Institutional Liquidity at Ripple will head Binance’s expansion in the US.

*Binance US will be operated by its partner BAM Trading Services. BAM is a registered money services business with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).
