Blockchain Association of the Philippines Inaugurated
The Blockchain Association of the Philippines (BAP) is inaugurated at the Blockchain Asia Forum 2018.
With the mission of establishing the country as a center of excellence in blockchain, BAP aims for mass adoption of blockchain in the Philippines. The organization aims to encourage knowledge sharing among its members as well as set up workshops to educate the Filipino workforce in blockchain technology.
BAP intends to collaborate with government agencies to come up with proper regulation regarding blockchain and cryptocurrency.
Realizing that the initiative cannot be done alone, BAP acknowledges other blockchain-related organizations in the country, including Fintech Philippines and Ideaspace, in helping to spread awareness of this new technology in the Philippines.
BAP counts Consensys, the Australian Digital Commerce Association (ADCA), and the Enterprise Etherereum Alliance as its key partners.
Founding members of the Blockchain Association of the Philippines include SCI Ventures, Coins.ph, Union Bank, Consensys, and ADCA.

The Blockchain Asia Forum is a 3-day event happening at the SMX Convention Center in SM Aura, Taguig.
