The use of the token is made possible through a Blockchain Keystore application in Samsung smartphones on Galaxy 10. This would enable support for cryptocurrencies. Samsung tacitly added Bitcoin (BTC) intending to support its decentralized app store, the Blockchain Keystore.

What is Blockchain Keystore?

Samsung Blockchain Keystore SDK allows your Android app, DApp to directly communicate with Samsung Blockchain Keystore, a preloaded feature on select Galaxy devices, where Android mobile developers can leverage the following;

  1. Get Blockchain address to link to the Samsung Blockchain Keystore;
  2. Sign a cryptocurrency transaction;
  3. Check Samsun Blockchain Keystore

Selected devices and regional availability

From Samsung developers site, Blockchain Keystore SDK is confirmed available for Galaxy S10e, S10+, S10 5G, Note10, and the Note10+ within specific regions such as Canada, Germany, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, US, and UK for the following blockchain platforms: Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Klaytn.

On July 2019 Keystore was released as part of Samsung’s blockchain and decentralized application Software Development Kit (SDK). It provides account management like backup, payment and digital signature facilitation.

Samsung expands its blockchain DApp kit with two new services integrated – digital analytics DApp dubbed “Jupiter”- utilizes TrustVerse’s AI-powered price prediction and analytics build on Microsoft Azure architecture. The Dapp enables a user to track the volatility of digital assets including (BTC) and (ETC). The second service is QR code-based-password “Mars” into Galaxy S10 and newer versions of Samsung Phones.
