September 20, 2019 – There are 2 new locations in Makati where anyone can buy and sell Bitcoin over-the-counter.
Direct Agent 5 (DA5) is now partnered with Bloom Solutions to empower the authorized Western Union agent to buy and sell Bitcoin via OTC. Bloom is licensed by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) to facilitate Bitcoin to Fiat transactions and vice versa.

Through the tools provided by Bloom, remittance companies like DA5, PSULIT, and Czarina can facilitate Bitcoin OTC transactions. In a previous report, Czarina Money Changer said the partnership with Bloom is a step to move forward for them as a company. In a statement, the money changer said, “We’ve been in the industry for 41 years, and we understand the value of embracing technology. We can’t ignore the changing demands in the industry, or else we risk getting left behind.” In another report, PSULIT Chief Technology Officer Paulo Del Puerto said, “We are happy to have BloomX as one of our OTC partners at PSulit. The partnership will pave the way for BloomX to reach more customers that would like to buy and sell cryptocurrency.”
Meanwhile, as per Bloom’s location page, Palawan Pawnshop BTC OTC locations have been put on hold for the time being.
