The New York-based Human Rights Foundation (HRF) is now accepting Bitcoin donations powered by payment processor BTCPay Server.

News site The Block Crypto said HRF has been accepting Bitcoin donations before but this the first time they will use a payment processor.

HRF Chief Strategy Officer Alex Gladstein told The Block Crypto:

“BTCPay Server helps protect the privacy of donors; has no centralized entity that would collect or exploit user information; and is nicely customizable”

BTCPay Server is a self-hosted, open-source crypto payment processor. Anyone can receive bitcoin payments as a business or as an individual.
