February 14, 2019 – Ethereum Wallet MyEtherWallet (MEW) has released a new version of its crypto platform that focuses on making it more user-friendly.

Anyone who has visited or used MEW in the past knows the website is barebones with a focus on instilling knowledge to users on how to navigate cryptocurrencies, whether instructions on creating new wallets or even transferring tokens to other wallets.

The new MyEtherWallet features a minimalist design with a highlight on its most important features – creating new wallets and accessing wallets. As for creating a new wallet MEW gives the option to use MEWconnect, its own wallet app available on mobile devices. Other ways – like by creating a Keystore File and by using Mnemonic Phrases are still available. (Read More: The Best Crypto Wallets for Filipino Hodlers.)

MyEtherWallet allows users to access their wallet. There are 4 options: via hardware, MetaMask, software, and through MEWconnect. MEW said it supports most major hardware wallets such as Ledger and Trezor.

Finally, a “swap” feature allows users to swap fiat to crypto, ETH and BTC, ETH and ERC-20 etc. This is made possible by MEW’s partnerships with the following firms: Changelly, Simplex, Kyber Network, and Bity. (Read More: Using Abra to Buy Bitcoins in the Philippines)

Changelly, which is launched in 2015 is an instant cryptocurrency swap platform that is also listed by BitPinas as one of the ways to purchase crypto via credit card or via BTC. This particular partnership between MEW and Changelly opened up more than 100 tokens for swapping in MyEtherWallet.
