Ripple Secures New Partners

Ripple announced new payment providers that will partner with the company for usage of its distributed ledger technology.

The new payment partners include:

  • FairFX
  • RationalFX
  • Exchange4Free
  • MoneyMatch
  • UniPay

FairFX, RationalFX, and Exchange4Free are firms from the UK. MoneyMatch is from Malaysia while Unipay is a settlements company in Georgia.

According to Ripple Senior Vice President Asheesh Birla, using Ripple’s “xVia technology” will allow these partner firms to expand their customer base.

“xVia will allow us to reach more people, more efficiently and at a lower cost,” said James Hickman, Chief Commercial Officer at FairFX.

Ripple’s network allows partners to send money globally using the blockchain. The company has a growing list of institutions using its product as of late. Ripple’s XRP, its cryptocurrency, is trading at $0.83 as of this writing.
