Survey Says 31% are Happy to Receive Cryptocurrency as Salary

Among the people who said yes, 33% are millennials while those who are approaching retirement are at only 5%.

Since more companies are shifting towards blockchain and cryptocurrencies, Sage.com ran a survey about the usage of digital money. About 31% of 1000 said that they would be happy to receive all or a part of their salary in cryptocurrency.

According to the survey, 31% of the respondents would be happy to receive all or a part of their salary in cryptocurrency. While a staggering 69% would still like the traditional fiat. In the 31% who said yes, 75% are men and 25% are women.

It is also not surprising that among the people who said yes, 33% of them are millennials who are in the 25-34 years old age group. The lowest of the group are those who are approaching retirement at only 5%.

To finish the survey, Sage.com asked what percentage of their salary they want to be in crypto. 37% of the respondents who answered yes want an experimental 1%-20%. But the people who answered 50% and more are leaning towards 100% salary percentage.

In the Philippines, there is a fintech startup called Salarium that uses its own token, SALPay and its own software to process payments to employees. The Salarium software has its own tracker to track the hours of work, attendance, etc, and a smart contract will also be created to ensure agreements are honored between both parties.

The survey was conducted by Sage using Google Surveys, which shows the questions to users of popular websites like YouTube in exchange for paid content. A research found out that majority of the respondents in past surveys are from the United States and, obviously, reliant to those who have access to the Internet.
