Manny Pacquiao Launches Exclusive NFT Collection on Lodicoins Philippines

A month after the launch of his second project, Philippine senator and boxing world champion Manny Pacquaio is back into the metaverse as he partnered with Lodi Technologies, the firm behind the Binance Smart Chain-based utility token Lodicoin, to launch the non-fungible token (NFT) collection Manny Pacquiao NFT Project (MPNFT).

According to their website, the project was made possible by Loditech and Ikon which tapped the former senator and boxing champion to release the very first exclusive Manny Pacquiao NFTs which “feature intricately designed NFT art that is backed by utility that unlocks a world of rewards and insider access to NFT and Pacman aficionados.”

The utilities of the MPNFT include; Exclusive MP NFT Merchandise where the first 1000 NFT holders will receive a signed MPNFT merchandise; Manny y Mano, holders will be able to attend in-person or virtual events, for rare NFT holders they will have a 5-minute VIDEO CALL with Manny Pacquiao every month for 12 months for, holders can also train or play chess with Pacquiao online; holders will also enjoy VIP access and first dibs to future Manny Pacquiao Projects.

The MPNFT also pledges that a “portion of Manny Pacquiao NFT sales will be donated to athletic programs in under-served communities in The Philippines.”

The minting of the project started last July 18, the NFTs are priced at 0.9 ETH per mint. As of writing, three out of 10,000 are minted.

Based on the road map, the merch drop of the project starts in December this year, the Manny y Mano utility will take effect in 2023 while the Athletics Program Activations will be on Q1 and Q3 next year. 

Last month, Manny Pacquiao released the NFT project “Pacman the Jack Russell”, a collection of 9,999 dog-themed NFTs as a tribute to his dog, Pacman, who passed away two years ago. The collection will serve as the first step and foundation of the “Pacman Boxing League”, a supposed blockchain-based game utilizing these NFTs.(Read more: Manny Pacquiao Launches Dog-themed NFT Collection)

In 2021, Pacquiao also launched a licensed authenticated NFT collection on Ethernity Chain.

Aside from his NFT ventures, he has also been active in the cryptocurrency space. In  March 2018 he was announced as the celebrity ambassador for GCOX, a cryptocurrency exchange. After a month, Pacquiao announced the launch of his cryptocurrency called PAC Token. And in September 2019, the coin was officially launched after a free concert in Manila. Further, he announced his new payment platform dubbed ‘PacPay’ which aims to offer more convenient and safer financial transactions for global influencers and fans globally in December 2020.
