Pia Wurtzbach Joins NFT Project Alpha Girl Club

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach announced her participation in the upcoming non fungible token (NFT) collection of Alpha Girl Club (AGC), an NFT project of 10,000 NFTs, through changing her profile pic with the project’s signature design of the Alpha Girl.
“Hello, Queens! How are all my alphas doing today?” the beauty queen wrote, tagging AGC’s Twitter account.
What is Alpha Girl Club?
Alpha Girl Club is an upcoming NFT collection planned to launch in December. According to its developers, AGC aims to “empower more people to be bold and be change makers in the world.”
Aside from the NFTs, AGC offers real-life products to its members by giving artist collectables, premier access to events, and real-life experiences.
“We believe experiences should be felt in the physical world.” AGC wrote it on their website. Further, AGC Holders will gain all inclusive access and the highest subscription plan in the mental health app curated by its team.
Wurtzbach in response to one of the comments in her tweet that she is “here to support NFTs and the artists/projects behind it.”
“I’m enjoying being a supporter of new found friends in the space,” she added.
Recently, Wurtzbach along with Catriona Gray, Miss Universe 2018, are featured in Miss Universe first NFT collection in celebration of its 70th anniversary.
Prior to that, Miss Universe Philippines 2021 already pioneered the space for being the first beauty pageant in the world to join the NFT wave. The pageant collaborated with RedFOX Labs, a Southeast Asian blockchain venture builder, to launch the Miss Universe Philippines NFT collection last September 24. Accordingly, media personality and artist Heart Evangelista is set to release her own NFT arton OpenSea, a prominent NFT marketplace starting today, November 4. (Read more: Heart Evangelista to Release Her Own NFTs)
As the Philippines itself is also trying to thrive in the NFT space;National Book Development Board (NBDB) highlighted at the Frankfurt Book Fair, the world’s oldest and largest book fair, the first ever NFT storybook in its participation this year. In addition, TeamManila, a Filipino local brand, also released two NFTs; a single edition NFT released on April 14 called “Philippine Genesis,” and the “Rizal Gold NFT Coin,” featuring the brand’s iconic “Rizal-with the sunglasses on” design that comes in 20 different editions.
