NFT gaming and asset discovery platform MetaverseGo revealed that it has partnered with SM Megamall to give away free Astro NFTs to mall goers. This is the first NFT execution by a mall branch in the Philippines, unveiled at the launch of SM’s first Christmas 3D billboard.
MetaverseGo is giving away free Astro NFTs from November 25, 2022, until January 2023.
“This partnership is very exciting as it enables all SM Megamall patrons to own their first NFT, or add to their existing collection. Astro NFT is an art collectible with an actual utility, to top it off, redemption is free,” Jake San Diego, MetaverseGo’s Co-founder and Chief Business Development Officer, stressed.
“Astro NFT collection is composed of Astro Frens NFTs that are part of an intergalactic series of deflationary NFT collections, united in their own unique metaverse—the Astroverse.“

Metaversego and SM Megamall showcased the NFTs during its Christmas-theme 3D show at the SM Megamall LED Billboard with the theme, #ChristmasInMegaverse, last November 25, 2022.
“SM Megamall has definitely upped its ante when it comes to providing unique experiences for its shoppers. In another truly #OnlyAtMega moment, the #ChristmasInMegaverse 3D show can be enjoyed every 15 minutes from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. till January 6, 2023. Catch Santa Claus with his adorable little helpers, Astro and Metmet ride across the metaverse, bring you gifts from Santa’s Mega In Space factory and reveal Astro NFT, first NFT in the Philippines to be released by a mall branch,” MetaverseGo said in a statement.
This is not the first time that MetaverseGo has partnered with a non-Web3 firm. Just last month, the platform signed a collaboration agreement with telecommunications service provider Globe.
MetaverseGo said it aims to eliminate the barriers to entry by providing fast and easy access to web3 with only a Globe mobile number. The Astro NFTs, for example, can be claimed by just scanning QR codes round SM Megamall.
“Owning an NFT has never been this easy. Astro NFT is free and there is no spend requirement to avail. From now till end-January 2023, mall goers are invited to scan the QR codes placed across establishments within SM Megamall to redeem their own Astro NFT,” MetaverseGo concluded.
“Astro NFT holders are entitled to a free spin per scan per unique establishment that entitles them to win gift certificates from establishments such as Uniqlo, The Moment Group, Slimmer’s World, Plains and Prints, and Crocs. They are also entitled to a free 1-day Game Pass which they can use to play within the MetaverseGo app. Swing by the MetaverseGo booth located at the Level 3, Mega Fashion Hall in between Uniqlo and Faceshop to know more about promo mechanics and NFT utility.”
