  • Spotify is launching a pilot test of a token-enabled playlist exclusively for KINGSHIP Key Card (NFT) holders, featuring songs from artists such as Queen, Missy Eliott, Snoop Dogg, and Led Zeppelin.
  • The pilot is currently only available to Android users in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand. To access the playlist, users need to connect their preferred wallet.
  • Spotify’s move follows its testing of NFT galleries on musicians’ profiles in May 2022, and Sony Music Entertainment’s filing of a trademark application to cover “audio and video recordings featuring live musical performances authenticated by NFTs” in 2022.

Months after expressing that they would try testing musician non-fungible token (NFT) galleries, major music streaming platform Spotify is now to launch a pilot test of a token-enabled playlist through the Bored Apes supergroup Kingship.
