English: What is Tezumura

Japanese art is an expression of a culture that fascinates people from all over the world. Many traditional artists use popular characters like Samurais, Geishas, Ninjas, Yokai to tell their stories.

However, it’s becoming increasingly rare to find authentic Japanese art styles, including Tezos NFTs.

What is Tezumura of the Ukiyo-Verse?

Sarisa Kojima is the leader of the Kojima Project, introducing people to the floating world of ” Ukiyo-Verse.” Tezumura is a collection of 5,555 FA2 Tokens representing the villagers of the ancient Tezos community in Japan.

Ukiyo is a word used to describe the urban lifestyle and culture, especially the pleasure-seeking aspects of Edo period Japan.

The term “Ukiyo,” when written means “the floating world,” and also an ironic, homophonous allusion to the earlier Buddhist word Ukiyo (憂き世, “sorrowful world”), referring to the earthly plane of death and rebirth from which Buddhists sought release.

About the Team

As an artist specializing in Japanese printmaking and painting, Kojima drew all 555 layers herself as 12 attributes for this collection. Kojima is also the artist and co-founder of SweatyNFT, a no-code toolset for Tezos NFT image generation and smart contract deployment and management.

About Collection

Tezumura will launch 5,555 unique artworks and five hand-drawn rare tokens on April 13, 2022. The collection includes variations of characters classified by their role in the community, Artisans, Merchants, Travellers, Warriors, and more.

This collection strives to be the most artistic and qualified Japanese art collectibles to release on the Tezos blockchain.
