The Philippines has ranked first in the adoption of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) based on a survey back in the last quarter of 2021. With this in mind, who are the Filipino celebrities that are into the NFT Space? 

Note that the article below is not an exhaustive list. Also, these celebrities may be holding other NFTs.

1. Heart Evangelista

The artist, Love Marie Payawal Ongpauco, or professionally known as Heart Evangelista, collaborated with Luis Buenaventura II, crypto artist and founder of CryptoPop Art Guild (CPAG) and regular BitPinas contributor, to create her NFT genesis piece, “Pluviam.”

Pluviam was sold for 2.5 ETH on OpenSea. Alongside Pluviam, another one of her crypto art creations – “Desiderantium” – was sold for 7.35 ETH.

Heart’s works incorporated music from Manila Philharmonic Orchestra composer Rodel Colmenar.

2. Nadine Lustre

Singer and actress Nadine Lustre launched her music NFT titled, “Wait for Me” which is available at enter.audio. 1000 editions of the album has been minted as an NFT.

The song “Wait for Me” is also available on Youtube and Spotify.

3. Pia Wurtzbach

Miss Universe and actress-model Pia Wurtzbach flexed her own NFT avatar on Twitter and has joined the Alpha Girl Club NFT collection, World of Women, and many other NFT projects.

Pia’s NFT journey has been well documented.

4. Yassi Pressman

Actress Yasmin Isabel Pressman, professionally known as Yassi Pressman, announced her collaboration with “Whitelist”, the NFT project of Filipino-American sibling athletes Jordan Norwood, a former National Football League (NFL) player and Super Bowl winner, and PBA player Gabe Norwood

Yassi has also introduced her own Axie Infinity scholarship guild on Twitter back in October 2021.

5. Kris Lawrence

Singer, Songwriter Producer and Theater actor, Kristoffer Lawrence Cadevida, professionally known as Kris Lawrence minted his first NFT song entitled “Future Girl’,’ with a description: “A song about a career focused individual who’s made many sacrifices such as relationships, who is striving to take the next steps in his life”.

6. Michael V.

Comedian and artist Michael V introduced Anotoys Collectiverse on Facebook. Anotoys is ‘dubbed’ as the “first celebrity-approved NFT” in the Philippines.

Anotoys Collectiverse is an NFT platform—a launchpad and marketplace in one—where fans, collectors, artists, and celebrities converge from Premium Collectibles to Digital Collectibles. Together with Michael V, Team Kramer, and Marc Abaya also endorse the platform.

7. Derek Ramsey

Actor, model and host Derek Ramsey has been seen flexing his Bored Punk of Society (BPOS) online.

8. Erwan Heussaff

Erwan Heussaff has flexed his NFT from BPOS.

9. KC Montero

KC Montero, Vice President of Kumu and actor, is holding an NFT from the Aswang NFT project. In one of the  Twitter Spaces, KC expressed that he was talking more about NFTs than Kumu. Kumu is a Pinoy community platform where its users can hang out, explore the many live streams, and meet and chat with fellow Filipinos all around the world.

10. Michael Pacquiao

The son of retired boxer and Senator Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquio, Michael, is also holding an NFT from Good Games Society.

Filipino personalities and celebrities, locally and abroad, are evidently getting into the NFT space and there may be others not included in the list. This only shows that not just NFT enthusiasts are bullish on NFTs but also – famous individuals are into it as well.
