Axie Infinity has reportedly increased the standard for NFT games once again as it reached another milestone: surpassing $4 billion in total NFT trading volume. The news was from the report of data acquisition and analysis company, DappRadar.

The recent achievement also made Vietnam-based Sky Mavis’ Axie Infinity become the first NFT collection to reach $4 billion in lifetime NFT trading volume. The milestone resulted from the collective effort of the traders that either sold or bought an Axie NFT which are currently, according to DappRadar, at 1,901,932 individuals and totals 14,504,659 transactions overall.

The four-year-old Axie Infinity also made history when it reached $2.05 billion gross sales back in September 2021, the time its popularity peaked. The game beat big names in the NFT collectibles space like CryptoPunks, Art Blocks, and Bored Ape Yacht Club.

As per DappRadar Rankings, these NFT collections also exceeded $1 billion in sales; Cryptopunk is second to Axie Infinity with $2.61 billion in NFT trading volume while Bored Ape Yacht Club ranks in third place with $1.35 billion.
