With 3030 AXS Prize Pool: Cabanatuan Meetup is Largest Axie PH Tournament So Far
With 3030 AXZ prize pool, or approximately ₱1.9 million, the Axie Cabanatuan Meetup is now considered as the largest Axie tournament so far.

The upcoming Axie Infinity Cabanatuan Community Meetup is set to be the largest Axie local area network (LAN) tournament in the Philippines, where 256 players from 84 guilds will face each other for a 3030 Axie Infinity Shards (AXS) prize pool (approximately ₱1.9 million).
The event will be on Saturday, October 22, 2022, in SM Cabanatuan in Nueva Ecija. Cabanatuan is known as the Axie Capital of the Philippines.
Cabanatuan was dubbed as the Axie Capital of the country as this is where the play-to-earn craze started when a few players started lending their axies to their neighbors that have been left displaced and jobless due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The event was previously announced during the Axie Infinity: Origin Season 1 Kick-off party last September 17, 2022, by Sky Mavis Philippine Lead Nix Eniego and BlockchainSpace Growth Lead Carlo Mendiola. The vent was covered by BitPinas.
The tournament will be presented by guild hub BlockchainSpace and the play-to-earn game itself, Axie Infinity. The partners of the event include Community Gaming, Lootbox Fund, UnionDigital, PLDT, Limitless Guild Mobius, Axie University, and Level Up Gaming Guild.
The competitors will face off while playing Axie Infinity: Origin, the game’s free-to-play version. Recently, along with the launch of its Season 0, Sky Mavis has transferred and integrated its utility token Smooth Love Potion (SLP) into the game while permanently removing it from version 2, Axie Infinity classic. Last September, the Lunacian Sports League (LSL) was one of the recipients of the $2.4 million Axie Infinity Esports Grant. And in its 4th season, the league migrated to V3, Axie Infinity Origins. On the other hand, Axie Infinity co-founder Jeffrey Zirlin or Jihoz will be coming to the Philippines as a speaker for the upcoming Philippine Web3 Festival, a week-long premier event happening on November 14–18, 2022, organized by BlockchainSpace and Yield Guild Games.
