June 2022 has arrived and the market seems to be in a sideways movement. What are the blockchain games that gamers can look forward to despite the condition of the market?

The following blockchain games are not endorsements but rather an unbiased list to inform gamers of updates and new games available. This is not financial advice.

1) Splinterlands

Splinterlands’ pre-selling of licensed Validator Nodes is over, and over 1000 Validator Nodes were sold in less than 11 minutes. This move will burn 18 million Splinterlands (SPS) tokens in the process. Having licensed Validator Nodes can give owners a passive income through proof of stake (PoS).

Splinterlands has released its next batch of licensed Validator Nodes available for 3000 SPS each.

Splinterlands is a collectible card game with an auto battling feature on the Hive blockchain. One of the advantages of having Splinterlands on Hive is that card traders can have their cards traded on different networks like Ethereum and WAX.

2) Gods Unchained

Gods Unchained has already enabled the capability to Shine Forge, which allows players to craft (forge) their own cards. This mechanism promotes fusing non-fungible token (NFT) cards to make much more rarer cards.

In December 2021, Gods Unchained ceased the Shine Forge feature because of the high gas fee but as it is now integrated into the Immutable blockchain, players can forge gas without worrying about the gas fee.

Gods Unchained is a free-to-play card game. This collectible card game is built on the Ethereum blockchain, using the Immutable X layer 2 solution for gas-free trading for players to enjoy collecting more cards and battling it with other card game enthusiasts.

3) Mini Royale: Nations

Mini Royale: Nations released their looting mechanism. This will help players earn more by collecting more NFT items from playing the game. After collecting, players can also trade this in the market. As players level up, they can earn items from the game that they can use in battles PVP and PVE or trade these items in the market.

Mini Royale: Nations is a first-person shooting game (FPS) on the Solana blockchain. Graphics are inspired by Cyberpunks and has a futuristic environment for shooting enthusiasts to enjoy.

4) Farsite

Farsite has released its automated scholarship program, Pilot Academy. NFT owners can place pilots (players) into their spaceships and earn by mining resources in Alpha for a share of Credits and ETH. This can give opportunities for players to earn and save to buy their own NFT spaceships. Its automation can also help guild owners to easily distribute their scholars’ share.

Farsite is a decentralized finance (DeFi)-powered economic strategy massive multiple online role-playing game (MMORPG). The player will be on a deep space flight after a post-apocalyptic event that happened to Earth. The survivors have to explore the vast space for resources.

5) BlockPlay

BlockPlay is a Meta role-playing game (RPG) that had their mint day last May 31. These are 3D avatars, called Metacitizens, in which some of them resemble iconic characters like Naruto and Super Mario. Players can earn, purchase and learn through the game by creating role-playing games and having roles as Tycoon, Influencer, and Creator.

The team behind BlockPlay aims to make this a metaverse for people to socialize and integrate e-commerce into the game. They aim to partner with brands and have their products be onboarded into the Web 3.0 technology.

As we get close to the middle of the year, blockchain games are still continuing to build. Seeing improvements in games like Splinterland and Gods Unchained, FPS games starting to pop up in the market like Mini Royal: Nations, DeFi gaming, like Farsite, and Metaverse based games like BlockPlay are being developed despite the condition of the market.

What more can we expect in the second half of the year?
