Tezos and Gitcoin Launch “Game On! Tezos” Hackathon

Tezos, an open-source blockchain platform, in collaboration with Gitcoin, invites tech builders and innovators as well as novices in the platform to join them in their month-long hackathon which started on November 18. The total prize of this event goes up to $200,000 in tez (XTZ), native cryptocurrency for the Tezos blockchain.
“Now’s your chance to enter the exciting world of blockchain gaming and development with @gitcoin‘s “Game on! Tezos” global hackathon.” Tezos wrote in a tweet.
Gitcoin is a platform with an open-source software, with a wide variety of programming languages, where coders and developers can get paid to work.
“We would like to invite you to hack with us, explore the technology of Tezos, and build toys and games that delight, entertain, and help pave the way for blockchain becoming part of our everydays in the future.” Gitcoin said in a statement.
The entries will be judged with its envisioned and potential impact, innovativeness, code utility and security, and its overall design and user experience.
Further, the submissions must be open source (MIT license), a working prototype deployed live on the current testnet, a writeup on what the product backlog for reaching ‘completion’ looks like and a list of the addresses of their token contracts.
At the time of payout, in each category, the first prize will take home $25,000 in tez (XTZ) while the 2nd and 3rd places shall get $10,000 and $5,000 in tez (XTZ), respectively.
