Arvie de Vera of UnionDigital reveals that the new digital bank is built to serve the metaverse, while also revealing a partnership with YGG.
“We remain the only bank with real links to crypto exchanges and open to retail accounts and traders,” Arvie de Vera of UnionBank said in a phone interview.
The announcement was said during the virtual media roundtable E-TalkTales on Tuesday, December 21.
UnionBank was recently involved with the “Nagoyo” scam where BDO accounts were hacked by a scammer named “Mark D. Nagoyo”, who has multiple UnionBank accounts, the cybercriminal stole up to P25,000 thousand to P50,000 pesos per account.
