Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) announced Coins.ph, a home-grown mobile crypto wallet, as its official cryptocurrency and blockchain partner. Coins.ph was its first ever local crypto partner as the pageant organization further ventures in the crypto space.

MUPH shared the news through a Facebook post where it noted that the “Coins Movement has reached the Universe.”

In a tweet, Coins.ph expressed their warm welcome to MUPH in the “cryptoverse.”

“I think [Miss Universe] is a powerful platform to deliver financial awareness. I would like to work with them long term. And you know, Miss Philippines historically has been very successful in Miss Universe and we look to support the winner to go global.” – Wei Zhou, Coins.ph CEO in a BitPinas Exclusive Interview

Miss Universe PH already entered the blockchain space in September 2021 through non-fungible tokens. The venture made MUPH the first beauty pageant in the world to join the NFT wave.
