The iThink Hackathon also exemplifies the growing trend of utilizing blockchain technology to address global challenges, fostering innovation and collaboration among developers to create solutions for peace, health, education, and environmental sustainability.

  • ISLA Camp, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Midtown Diliman and DEVCON, is hosting the fourth iThink Hackathon “Pump Up The Jam”
  • The hackathon organizers are inviting web3 developers in the Philippines to create projects using the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP).
  • Projects should address Peace Building, Disease Prevention, Water Sanitation, Maternal Health, Education, Community Development, or the Environment.

The numbers

  • Total prize pool: ₱225,000
  • Champion prize: ₱50,000 per track
  • Runner-up prizes: ₱30,000 and ₱20,000 per track
  • Special prizes: ₱12,500 each for most innovative DApp and game concept

How to join: 

  • Participants can join individually or in teams of up to five members and must be familiar with ICP.
    • Teams must not have received previous ICP grant or hackathon prizes from the projects they are submitting, ensuring fresh and original ideas.
  • Projects will be developed in two tracks: web applications and web game applications, utilizing ICP for backend APIs.

The hackathon includes design thinking sessions, mentorship, and workshops, ending in a showcase on July 31, 2024.
