Quant Trader (Crypto) – Description
Fully Remote (Philippines) | Full Time
We are looking for a Quant Trader, to join our operations team on a full-time basis in the Philippines. You will help to ensure best-in-class trading operations and accounting for our global operations.
Responsibilities:
- Use trading metrics and data analysis methods in the decision-making process to improve existing strategies.
- Ensure the day-to-day accuracy and reconciliation of trade entries, including investigating and resolution of any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the tech team to continuously improve and automate our P&L and risk reporting and accounting systems.
- Live risk monitoring and escalation.
- Prototype algorithmic trading strategies for crypto exchanges.
- Determine appropriateness of execution venues for various trades.
- Use qualitative and quantitative analysis to improve performance of our systematic strategies.
Your profile:
- Strong academic background within a quantitative subject (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or similar) with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Must possess a deep understanding of P&L calculations.
- Experience in a middle office product controlling, trading operations or trade accounting role at a bank or proprietary trading firm.
- Keen interest in the cryptocurrency markets.
- Must be a disciplined self-starter with a significant degree of analytical rigour and attention to detail.
- A high degree of motivation, adaptability and proactiveness are key success factors for the role. Ability to work autonomously and/or remotely.
- Experience with Python is highly desirable (but not necessary).
