About the Role

The Senior Officer, Discord Community Manager will be in charge of the overall management, moderation, and community-building efforts for the PDAX Discord Server. He/she ideally has previous experience and a deep understanding of the many various features of Discord and is able to harness these features towards cultivating a welcoming, engaging, and collaborative culture in the PDAX community.

General Responsibilities

  • Execute the Discord community objectives and KPIs set by management while adhering to the branding and policy guidelines of PDAX.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the PDAX Discord Server (and potentially other related servers) by engaging with its members, moderating their activity, posting important announcements / promos from PDAX, fielding questions and issues, and handling bad actors (e.g. via scam warnings, via kicking out members, etc.)
  • Design operations of the Discord community to be fully functional 24/7.
  • Help conceptualize and organize new events, activities, and reward programs within the Discord Server (such as AMAs, talks, providing ranks/badges, etc.) in order to maintain high levels of engagement among its members.
  • Measure and report the success of the above engagement initiatives via monitoring of KPIs and other metrics.
  • Regularly benchmark the most successful Discord communities in the industry globally and implement improvements on the customer experience within PDAX’s Discord community.
  • Install and manage various Discord bots that serve specific objectives, such as moderation, giveaways, NFT verification, etc.
  • Identify, recruit, and manage a team of highly-engaged volunteers from the community to be moderators or hold other special roles (e.g. marketing ambassadors, other project outreach/collaboration representatives) that build and grow the community.
  • Monitor Discord messages, activity, and general sentiment of the server’s members, and seek to cultivate a cordial, helpful, and passionate community.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must be extremely familiar and knowledgeable on the many features of Discord Server Management, such as: implementing various Discord bots (collab.land, etc.), assigning various roles / tags, creating exclusive sub-channels, managing voice channels, and the like.
  • Candidate has a strong, natural inclination towards community building, creative thinking, execution, customer-service, and is socially adept at managing a multitude of people with varying personalities and agendas.
  • Knowledgeable on NFTs including Crypto Punks and BAYC, including the prevailing business models & community engagement strategies these projects utilize.
  • Candidate has excellent communication skills, and is able to thrive in the high-performance culture of a startup where collaboration, fast execution, and a tenacity to succeed are paramount.
