Changpeng Zhao, the CEO of Binance, is in the Philippines to discuss the cryptocurrency exchange’s expansion in the country.

CZ, during the media briefing, said the Philippines is a very important market for Binance, which is currently the leading blockchain and cryptocurrency provider globally.

BitPinas earlier reported that Binance may be looking to acquire a virtual asset services provider license in the Philippines. It currently does not have one as per the BSP. (Read More: List of Licensed Virtual Currency Exchanges in the Philippines)

But while the US Securities and Exchange Commission is probing Binance over its BNB token sale, it has secured regulatory approval in France.

In an earlier report, Binance continued its dominance over other cryptocurrency exchanges globally. 52% of the total volume for March all went to Binance.
